PLACEMENT PROCESS
| Placement is a vital component of any management programme. With the escalation in the economic growth along with the corporate activities in the country, the need for industry ready managers has grown simultaneously. NRIBM, being one of the premiere institutes in the state of Gujarat, takes the onus upon itself to provide the industry what it requires. Guided by the placement committee comprising of the Director, the placement coordinator and the faculty, the placement process of the institute ensures that the corporate visiting the campus for recruitments gets exactly what it is looking for. A complete understanding of the Company and its requirements is the initial stage of the process followed by identifying the right students from the institute to match the openings.
| Following is a step by step placement process of the institute:
| 1. RECEIVING RECRUITMENT ALMANAC & ASSESSMENT OF RECRUITER’S NEEDS:The first stage in the placement process, as mentioned earlier, is receiving an offer for placement from the recruiter followed by an in-depth analysis of the requirement and the needs of the company
| 2. COMPANY’S CONFIRMATION: The Company is then contacted again and confirmation from both sides is reached for the offer of recruitment and the date when the company wishes to visit the campus.
| 3. BRIEFING THE STUDENTS:The students of the institute are informed in advance about the visiting company and are guided to understand the company’s profile and requirement. This helps them prepare themselves thoroughly before the date of selection procedure.
| 4. PRE-PLACEMENT TALK: On the day of its visit, in most cases, the company briefs the students about its activities, vision, objective, work culture, etc. This is in addition to the guidance that the students have received from the staff of NRIBM.
| 5. GD/CASE STUDY (optional): As a part of the selection procedure, the students might be required to go through a group discussion on a relevant topic. Contrarily, they might also be provided with a case study to solve and present on.
| 6. WRITTEN TEST/PSYCHOMETRIC TEST (optional): To test the personality and the aptitude of the student towards the job, the companies might even monitor a psychometric test. This test essentially gives the students a situation and asks them for their response to it.
| 7. PERSONAL INTERVIEW:Generally, a personal interview is an integral part of the selection procedure. The students are made to sit individually with the interviewer/s and answer the questions asked to them.
| 8. SELECTION AND OFFER: Finally, after the selection procedure, the institute receives the list of students who have been selected and are offered a job with the company.
