It has been found over the years that more than 80% of the students pursuing an MBA wish to take up a job after the completion of the two years’ course. Thus, this infers that one of the most important activities of a post graduate institute is to provide the students enough training to make them ready for the corporate world and secure them placements that they have always dreamt of. N.R. Institute of Business Management has a very strong placement committee consisting of the Director of the institute, the faculty and a placement coordinator. Under their aegis, the corporate interaction of the students is bifurcated into two parts:

SUMMER PLACEMENT

FINAL PLACEMENT

• It is an integral part of the management programme at NRIBM
|
|
|
• This is the final destination, in sight of which every other activity is conducted |
|
• Eight weeks of comprehensive exposure to the industry
|
|
|
• The strong placement committee of the institute takes full control on decisions regarding final placements |
| • It is done with the aim of providing the necessary acumen and finesse to the students
|
|
|
• The process of inviting companies to the campus starts well in advance to ensure placements before the completion of the course
|
• Also, the students network and thus get to know people from the industry. This helps them in their final placement
|
|
|
• The institute has association with companies from diverse industries to facilitate the process of assuming industry experience by the students as also to enhance their placement prospects |
| • It typically starts in May, after the completion of the second semester and goes on till July |
|

• These industries include the likes of Advertising Agencies, Banks, Construction Materials, Consumer Durables, Engineering and Manufacturing, Equity and Stocks, Export Firms, Financial Services, FMCG, Insurance, IT, Logistics, Media and Communications, Pharmaceuticals, Retailing, Telecommunications and Textiles.

• At the end of this training, the students are required to prepare a report and presentation on their experience in the company.

• In addition, they are required to secure a certificate from the company confirming the satisfactory performance of the student.
