| Students learn a lot about management through the hands-on
experience of organizing and managing events at the campus. At
NRIBM, students play the role of organizers as well as participants
in conferences, training programmes, guest lectures, seminars and
the placement process.
Recognizing the immense value-generation of co-curricular
activities, certain activities have been incorporated as ongoing
activities into the weekly schedule of the students. |

Management Quiz
Every Saturday, students at NRIBM engage in a battle of intellect as
they go through various rounds of management quiz. Around three
seasons of quiz are completed every academic year. Participants go
through a grueling process of elimination round, quarter finals,
semi finals and finals before the final winner emerges. The
enthusiasm of the participants and the audience has to be seen to
be believed. The rigourous practice which students get in-house
contributes to their impressive record of winning first or second
position at every inter-college management quiz they have
participated in so far. |

Group Discussions
In order to prepare students for their placement process as well as
enhance their communication skills, NRIBM has initiated group
discussions on a weekly basis for all its students. Every Thursday, the
student of MBA-I and MBA-II are made to participate in group
discussions on various current topics and given intensive feedback
on their content, presentation, body language and overall
presentation. |

Industrial Groups and Contemporary Issues
It is very important for management students to be aware of the
external environment and the economic and industrial scenario. To
achieve this objective, NRIBM organizes weekly discussions of
contemporary issues. Selected groups of students make
presentations on issues of interest after which all the students
engage in an open house discussion. This enables students to
share a large body of knowledge in a limited period of time.
This is a novel concept through which NRIBM tries to make students
more conscious about the current events and issues around them.
Not only does this enhance their general knowledge, but it is also a
great confidence booster. |

MANEDGE- the wall magazine
Beginning September 2008, students at NRIBM have
conceptualized a unique tool to stay abreast with current
happenings - a monthly wall magazine branded as MANEDGE an
edge for the new age. Eighteen regular features inform and
entertain at the same time. Also, the entire process of collecting
information, editing and executing the wall magazine gives
invaluable lessons in organizing and team work. |

Inter Class Cricket Tournaments
Every year NRIBM organizes an inter-class cricket tournament for its
students. Last year, the tournament was spread over four days
where three teams Seniors, Alpha and Beta battled it out on the
ground for the First Position. On popular demand, a Ladies Cricket
match was organized where the ladies showed that they are not to
be left behind in any field. |

Inter Class Chess Tournament
NRIBM organized an inter-class chess tournament for its students.
Forty-two students participated enthusiastically in this tournament
which ran for eight days. Mr. Jignesh Rachcha emerged the
ultimate winner.

"Vartman" Daily News
NRIBM comes out with a daily news summary under the name
"Vartaman: News in a Nutshell". This makes sure students are
aware of the headlines of the day in various areas like politics,
business, sports, international events, etc. and is also a good
learning experience in editing. What is especially commendable is
that the news capsule has been delivering its daily dose of news
non-stop for two years now.

Yoga and Meditation
NRIBM recently organized a yoga and meditaion camp at the GLS
Lawn from 22nd to 24th February 2007. Mr. Tapan Mankodi from
Swami Shivananda Ashram introduced the students to some of the
basic
meditation techniques as well as some asanas for relaxation and
stress management. 107 students attended this camp and
benefited immensely from it. |
