The institute recognizes the pressures that students face during their academic life as well as the stress they would be facing in the future in their corporate careers. To alleviate this stress and teach them to cope with it, an annual yoga and meditation camp is organized wherein students are taught some basic meditation techniques and asanas for relaxation and stress management. Yoga provides all-round benefits to a human being. It has a strengthening effect on the nervous system through its non-tiring physiological activities that bring about poise of body and mind. Unlike the normal workouts that concentrate more on the inflation of the muscles, Yoga takes care of every little part of the anatomy. GLS MBA recently organized a yoga and meditation camp at the GLS Lawn. Mr. Tapan Mankodi from Swami Shivananda Ashram introduced the students to some of the basic meditation techniques as well as some asanas for relaxation and stress management. 68 students attended this camp and benefited immensely from it.
