Corporate Congregation, Alumni Meet and Annual Day
N R Institute of Business Management (GLS-MBA) organized its Corporate Congregation and Alumni Meet along with a musical concert by ghazal maestro Shri Jagjit Singh on 24th February 2008 at the Karnavati Club Lawns. The intention was to provide a platform for interaction to members of the corporate fraternity, alumni and students of N R Institute of Business Management. The event was a huge success with more than 10,000 invited guests including professionals, industrialists and eminent academicians.
NRIBM's “Excellence in Management Award”
Gujarat Law Society organized the presentation ceremony of N R Institute of Business Management's "Excellence in Management Award - 2006" on 31st January 2007.
Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Gujarat State presented the silver trophy and certificate to Shri Gautam S. Adani, Chairman, Adani Group in recognition of his exceptional contribution in the field of business management and his distinguished leadership in the august presence of Shri Anilbhai Patel, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and Tourism, Gujarat State as guest of honour and Dr. Parimal Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat University.
MICAMP - The Entrepreneurship Workshop
N. R. Institute of Business Management hosted MICAMP, a workshop on Entrepreneurship conducted by Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad.
The aim of this workshop was to help participants understand the opportunities in corporate and business entrepreneurship and encourage them to develop entrepreneurship as a capability.
The speakers for the workshop included Prof. Atul Tandan, Director, MICA, Dr. Gautam Raj Jain, Senior Professor in Organizational Behaviour and faculty-in-charge of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre at MICA, Mr. Jay Ruparel, Executive Director and COO, Azure Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Kamal Bansal, Regional Head, Bonanza Group.
The various subjects discussed during the workshop were Growth and Opportunities in Advertising, Media, PR, MR and other communication related areas, Entrepreneurial Behaviour and competence, Generation and Analysis of Business Plan, Sources of Financial Assistance, among others.
Third AIMS International Conference on Management
NRIBM has been the privileged co-sponsor of the Third AIMS International Conference on Management organized during January 1-4, 2006.
The conference has been organized under the auspice of the new campus at IIM-Ahmedabad under the able leadership of Prof. Omprakash Gupta, Prof. Bakul Dholakia and Prof. Maheshwari.
The conference witnessed tremendous intellectual interaction amongst around 200 learned participants from all over the world including the participants from India & USA, UK, South Africa, Pakistan, Iran, Canada, etc.
The inaugural address was delivered by Shri Yogendra K. Alagh; the well-known economist world over in line of the conference theme "Management Education at a crossroad: Issues, Challenges & Opportunities" followed by four days of more than 200 paper presentations and a plethora of activities.
NRIBM actively participated in the conference as a co-sponser by sponsoring five faculty members and two students from its final year MBA class. The director of the institute Dr. Hitesh Ruparel was honored to chair one technical session on the maiden day of the conference.
European Union India Cross Cultural Innovation Network Project
NRIBM was a partner in the prestigious European Union Network Project, wherein the Gujarat Law Society hosted three International events as part of project proceedings. The major proceedings of the projects are:
- International Conference of Enterprise Innovation in Knowledge Society.
- International workshop on 'Enterprise Clusters: Evolving Patterns
- University Industry Interactions.
