Gujarat Law Society’s Management Program had organized the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on 8th October, 2016 for distributing prizes to all those students who have contributed to the growth of GLS with their meritorious performance in academic and non-academic activities. The efforts of the students were recognized by the institutes (N. R. Institute of Business Management and GLSICT – MBA) by honouring them with trophies, certificates and medals. The students were awarded with prizes by the chief guest of the event, Dr. Balchandra Joshi and Dr. Dharmesh Shah. Total of 101 students of 2013-15 and 2014-16 batches, were awarded with the prizes.

GLS University’s Faculty of Computer Application & IT Department had organized a sports meet from 2nd January 2017 to 7th January, 2017. The students of MBA and I-MBA had participated in various sports event of this meet. In total the students of MBA, PGDM and I-MBA together had won many titles in Running Events, Discuss throw, Shot Put,Kabaddi and Overall Athletics Trophy (Male).

This year the convocation ceremony of NR-PGDM batch 2014-16 was held on 9th October, 2016. The students were awarded with post graduate degrees and the medals and certificates for their achievements during their academic period at the institute. The chief guest for the day was Shri Sunil Parekh, Chief Corporate Affairs Advisor at Zydus Group. He had given life building insight to students. The graduating students and other presents were mesmerized by his convocation address. The trophies were conferred upon the students by Shri Sunil Parekh, Dr. Balchandra Joshi, Registrar at Gujarat Law Society, Dr. Hitesh Ruparel, Director General of GLS University and Dr. Dharmesh Shah, Registrar at GLS University.

The event began with a classical dance in the form of prayer dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Adding glamour to the student activities there were Fashion Shows from all the three programmes of the management courses i.e MBA, PGDM &iMBA depicting different themes. The play saw participation of 4 teams which put up some brilliant plays based on a current hot topic of demonetarization& sensitive themes like bad habits at teen ages, chaos created by media “newsroom” & Girls raising their voice against cruelties. To add spice to it students performed singing and various dancing events. There were in total 19 trophies bestowed to participants of different events which includes a rotation trophy in fashion show amongst programmes i.e. MBA, PGDM and iMBA. In a nutshell Talentino-2017 at Tagore Hall, Paldi by GLSU - Faculty of Management signified and justified its name by showcasing spectacular talent and an amazing spirit of sportsmanship by the students and made the event a grand success. Talentino had something for everyone – be it a music fanatic or a dance freak, an acting wizard or simply a fun loving mortal. Needless to say, everyone had a rocking time.
