Sanshodhan 2018

A Summer Internship Competition – Sanshodhan 2018 was organized by Faculty of Management, GLS University, to admire, appreciate and assess, the practical learning of the 10 selected projects out of 250 projects, on the basis of their internship. Sanshodhan 2018 was organized on 29/08/2018 at GLS Auditorium. Extreme research, analysis and literature review of each project made the competition interesting. Experts from corporate has come to judge the projects. Mr. Kamal Kapoor, Controller of Communication Accounts, Gujarat Telecom Circle & Mr Randeep H Chhabra, Area Sales Manager - Projects, Berger Paints had graced the event. The competition was made difficult by the questions that the participants faced from them. Of all the participants, the first prize of Rs. 7000 was won by SimranMotwani&ReemaRamsinghani, the second prize of Rs. 5000 was won by Srilakshami Nair and the third prize of Rs. 3000 was won by Isha Gandhi.

Samvad

Faculty of Management believes in giving practical exposure to students in order to help them connect the classroom theoretical concepts with the practical corporate world. Considering the importance of filling the gap between the theoretical concepts and practical application, FOM conducts expert sessions under ‘Samvad’. These sessions are delivered by industrial experts and help students gain a practical approach towards the corporate world. Revel 2018

Youth sports and on-going physical activities can provide many benefits for students and adolescents. Positive experiences that sports and an active lifestyle bring play an important role in a student’s life. Thus, GLS University's Faculty of Management had organized the Inter Class Sports Tournament “Revel 2017”. It was comprised of various athletic events like Shot put, Long jump, Disc throw & 100/200/400 meters race and 100*4 Relay and sports events such as Cricket, Volleyaball, Football, Kabaddi and Basketball. The event was held for MBA, PGDM and IMBA students from 22nd October to 30th October 2018. In all the events students from MBA, PGDM and I-MBA courses had enthusiastically coordinated and participated in the event.

Sabrang 2018

GLS University’s IMBA course had organised an in-house cultural fest called Sabrang on 30th August, 2018. The event was comprised of 6 activities namely Master chef, Rangoli, Social ad, Temporary tattoo making, Photography and Best out of waste. The event was cherished by students with more than 700 entries for all the events combined. The event was judged by our in-house faculty members and Mr. Jaimil Joshi who is renowned fashion show and folk dance choreographer. We congratulate all the winners!!

Parishti 2018

Faculty of Management, GLS University had organized State Level Summer Internship Competition – Parishti 2018 on 27th September’2018. Where in 38 Projects from 20 different institutes had participated. In event, Students presented their research work undertook during their Summer Internship. Participants presented their research in different management areas of Marketing, Finance and HR. Sneha Singh from S. R. Luthra Institute, Surat has secured First Position and won Price Money worth Rs. 21000, NiraliRathod from V.M. Patel Institute, Ganpat University Secure Second Position and won Price Money worth Rs. 15000. Ravi Vaghela and AkilHirpara from B.K. School of Business Management secured third position and won price Money worth Rs. 11000. Nilesh Shah from PDPU won Best Presentation award and Rs. 7000 as Price Money.
